An inspection is worth most before you need one. We go over the covering, the flashing, the valleys, the vents, the gutters, the drip edge and the fascia, and tell you what is sound, what wants watching and what wants doing now.
The photograph beside this section is the kind of thing an inspection finds: a fascia corner gone soft and black with a gap open to daylight, invisible from the ground and perfectly visible from a ladder. That is a cheap repair found early and an expensive one found late.
Worth booking before winter if you have not been up there in a while, after any storm that brought branches down, and before you buy a house – the roof is the most expensive thing on a home inspection to get wrong.
